Educating Landowners about C&I
SFP received a multiple phase grant from the US Forest Service to use the National Association of State Foresters Stewardship Handbook framework to develop state-specific educational materials explaining how specific practices and strategies relating to the Montreal Process Criteria and Indicatos can help achieve stewardship goals. Phase I was completed in summer 2007 and Phase II begins in 2008 with Cornell University and Virginia Tech developing "tools" based on Phase I results and lessons learned.
All project materials can easily be replicated by other states and include brochures, PowerPoints, and websites.
